Kristopher Carr

Kristopher S. Carr has served as a Managing Principal of Star Restaurant Group since 2013, leading beverage concept development, program design, kitchen and bar equipment layout, operational logistics, and new restaurant development across the group’s portfolio.

Kris began his hospitality career in New York City in 2001, playing a pivotal role in the success of iconic venues such as Sushi Samba and The Biltmore Room. By 2005, he shifted focus to the nightlife sector with Cain New York, eventually rising to Beverage Director for all Cain Leisure properties, including Cain South Hampton Club, Gold Bar, and The Surf Lodge. His operational expertise also extended to high-profile events like New York Fashion Week, the MTV Music Awards, and the Sundance Film Festival.

In 2007, Kris took his talents to the Caribbean, serving as Opening General Manager for Cain at The Cove Pool and Beach Club positioned at the base of The Cove Hotel on Paradise Island, Bahamas. The property was named one of Forbes Magazine’s Best Pool and Beach Clubs in the World in 2008, and the management team received JD Power’s “Best in Class” award for service excellence.

From 2009 – 2011 Kris served as a regional beverage director for Morgan’s Hotel group where he was a part of the food and beverage outlet renovation at the brand’s iconic Royalton and Hudson Hotels as was as part of the opening food and beverage management team to open the Mondrian Hotel in Soho.

In 2012, Kris co-founded Kettle Hill, a critically acclaimed American bistro and tavern in Baltimore's Power Plant Live District, celebrated for its farm-to-table menu and craft cocktail program.
